Sharon is a founding partner of Rubens Nunnemaker LLP with over 20 years of experience in personal & business advisory and tax matters. Before starting Rubens Nunnemaker LLP in 2006, Sharon was a partner at Leibowitz Shumaker Berger & Rubens LLP for eight years.  She has also worked at national CPA firms specializing in real estate, professional services, and the securities industry.  Sharon has expertise in litigation support and has served as an expert witness in Superior Court.  She has extensive experience in advising business owners of closely-held companies and family groups. 
  
Sharon graduated from the University of Washington, magna cum laude and phi beta kappa, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration.  She then went on to obtain her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in 1987.  Sharon lives in Walnut Creek with her husband and two children.  She is active in the Walnut Creek education community and is on the Board of Directors for the Walnut Creek Education Foundation.

Stephen N. Nunnemaker, CPA/ABV is a founding partner of Rubens Nunnemaker LLP and leads the Business Valuation and Litigation Support Group.  Steve has performed numerous valuation engagements in a variety of industries including manufacturing, real estate, and genetics and also has experience in intangible valuation.  For more than a decade, he has provided compliance and business consulting services for his diverse client base.  He has extensive experience with planning considerations and concluding elements in both corporate and partnership liquidations and reorganizations.
  
Before starting Rubens Nunnemaker LLP, Steve was a partner at Leibowitz Shumaker Berger & Rubens LLP for almost three years.  During this time, he led the Firm's Business Valuation Group and managed its San Francisco office.
  
Steve graduated from the University of California at Santa Barbara with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics.  He also has earned the Certified Public Accountant designation, an ABV (Accredited in Business Valuation) from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a candidate for his Certified Valuation Analyst accreditation from the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts.  Steve enjoys the city life from his home in San Francisco.
